Adults volunteers, counselors and cooks must be at least 2 years removed from high school or employed by the church.
Is There a Dress Code and Dating Policy at Camp?
The general policy regarding dress and dating is "modesty". Modesty is subjective to and defined by the values of a community. Students and adults are asked to dress and act towards one another in a way that reflects their self image as a child of God, that respects others, and does not cause stumbling blocks. If dating or dress are creating distractions to an individual or a group, the behavior will be addressed with the leadership of the student(s).
What Do the Campers Need to Bring?
Things to Bring...
Bible, Pen & Paper, Sleeping bag/Bedding, Pillow, Modest and Weather Appropriate Clothing, Tennis Shoes and Sandals, Toiletries, Swimsuit, Sun Screen, Bug Spray, Money (snacks, shirts, fundraisers, etc.)

Why Should Adults Come to That Thing?
One of the core values That Thing operates with is nurturing an existing faith community. Your students will grow because of your leaderships investment in them. This is not a "send your kids camp"...it's a "bring your group" space and it's designed for pastors and youth workers to customize the experience around what the leadership knows is needed in the students' spiritual development.
Are Children of Adults Allowed at That Thing?
Children of adult leaders using the Private Lodges are allowed at That Thing.
Adults participating in the Campus House or the Epworth Dorms may not have children with them in those lodges. However, so long as supervision ratios are maintained, those adults and children may rent a room in the on-site Freelan Hotel (fees apply).
