Internships
We believe in raising up the next generation of leaders whether they're going to be working in a camp, a church, an office, a restaurant, or a home; camp is the perfect place to learn life skills that will go any where.
With an internship you will work alongside our full time development staff throughout the process of planning and implementing. You can learn how we develop worship services, write curriculum, create the spiritual journey, plan activities, events and games, and be a part of running the summer.
Your Role as an Intern
Being a That Thing intern requires a somewhat similar attitude to that of being on a missions trip...only, the land isn't quite so foreign and the prep time lasts a whole lot longer. You will have many great opportunities for fellowship with the body of Christ and to connect people and their passions/skills into ministry with and for high school students.
You will develop and improve your skills in leadership, event planning, production, video, photography, creative writing, worship design and so much more. The hands on experience you will have will give you an edge after college.

FAQ's
Q: Do I have to be in college or majoring in one of the above areas of study?
A: No. You may have graduated already, you may still be considering if college is right for you, or you may just be at a place where you are ready to dive in and start doing ministry.
Q: If I am going to get class credit, will this line up to my requirements?
A: Each internship is custom tailored to the person applying so that it meets their needs, matches to their skills, and provides places to be productive and beneficial.
Q: Is there a cost or is their a benefit with the internships?
A: We do not charge people to intern with us? The education, training and experience you will gain is in exchange for the work and ministry you help us to provide to our campers and guests. We also have housing that you will be able to live right here on site and avoid traveling from home to save money and really dive into the experience.
Q: What is the process to become an intern?
A: First you must apply. All applicants must complete applications, pass interviews, and are screened for camper safety. If you are approved for an internship, a defined start and end date will be determined and you will need to agree to the Community Covenant and then you will be ready to move on site when your date approaches.
